thedicelovemeBACKGROUND & HISTORY: Annaleigh 'Lee' Stevens - 23. Born and bred in Siren Cove, Lee is an only child of deceased parents. They died over the seas surrounding Siren Cove not long after she was born so she never knew them and was raised by her paternal grandfather, Jim Stevens, a lifelong resident of Siren Cove. A true local girl herself, Lee went to school in Siren Cove. She loves the town and wants to stay here with no plans to move on.
Her grandfather died just after Lee started college and unfortunately Lee was forced to drop out to tend to their affairs, and also because she needed to grieve properly. Jim left Lee a small inheritance which she used to buy a little flat near the nicer side of town. Not posh, by any means, but she doesn’t need posh. Once she was settled, she started looking for a job and always being extremely adept at technology landed an IT Technician role working at the same school she attended as a child. She loves her job and the kids she gets to interact with and is currently doing night-school college classes to earn her degree to start training to be a teacher, full time.
PERSONALITY: Lee is a fun, upbeat person, not really letting life get her down. She’s quick witted and sharp, confident in her geeky knowledge and her passion for all things technological. She likes her particular groove and while she’s friendly with strangers, she takes a while to trust new people, preferring the familiarity of people she knows and loves. Lee can also be a little distracted and absent sometimes, especially when she’s focused on work and she can sometimes need reminding that the outside world exists.
OPINION OF THE RIVALRY: Lee only knows about the rivalry in vague terms. She doesn’t care about it at all. Additionally, she has no clue that Siren Cove is what it is or that magic is/sirens are real. She thinks it’s all fantasy.
LIFESTYLE: Lee is a geek. A huge geek. Like quotes LoTR and Star Trek, discusses her current WoW RP scenarios with her friends type of geek. As such she loves all things film and TV and has a penchant for arguing with idiots on the internet about points of lore. Her apartment is full of movie posters and nic-naks from movies and games. Her salary goes on maintaining her hobbies including the bedroom she’s converted to a server room. She’s an avid gamer, both electronic, RP and tabletop, and plays both with a close group of friends that get together once a week. Not one to be tied down to a particular role, Lee is currently running a wizard named Alithia who is awesome.
She loves her job and sacrifices a lot of her time to studying hard to be an actual technologies teacher rather than just a sys-admin for the school. She loves what she does enough to hold an after-school club for tech savvy teens, teaching them coding and software engineering, while at the same time indulging in her hobbies and educating the younger geeky generation on the proper way to spawncamp and not get caught.
In her spare time she can be found sitting in Quill sucking down large quantities of coffee while tapping away at her laptop. There may or may not be shady things happening there but she has to supplement her salary somehow. Oddly she’s also an avid runner and can be found running the trails along the beach in all weathers. She can often be found at home gaming alone or with her friends, drinking caffeinated beverages and eating obscene amounts of pizza.
Relationships aren’t something Lee has ever really done. There’s been dates, but usually they end when they glaze over as soon as she mentions LARPing. As such she’s inexperienced in love and sex. She’s kissed a few people but that’s it.
